The Wildwoods is an island made up of three prominent sections: North Wildwood, located just north of the center of Wildwood with Wildwood Crest, which is just to the south. With year-round events, miles of wide, white sandy beaches, a fun-filled boardwalk and endless places to play, shop and eat, The Wildwoods is a great place to vacation!

New Jersey maintains the highest standards in ocean water quality of any state in the country and was rated "New Jersey's Best Sport Beach" by Travel Holiday Magazine. Beachgoers can glide along the sand of The Wildwood’s expansive beaches on the State's first beach tram, introduced in 1994, traveling from the street to the shoreline.

The 38-block Wildwood boardwalk is lined with amusement piers, water parks, specialty shops, theaters, eateries and restaurants. This 2.5 mile wooden walkway has something for kids of all ages. Ride a bike along the promenade from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., take a leisurely stroll or ride the tram cars while enjoying a breathtaking view of the Atlantic.

Shopping is abundant in the Wildwoods from the Holly Beach Mall to the merchants on New Jersey Avenue merchants. The summer air is filled with oldies music dockside, rock and roll at the clubs and ethnic sing-a-longs all over town. During the summer season, an estimated 2 million visitors come to the Wildwoods.

Of course, the kids go crazy for the non-stop action on Morey's Piers – three incredible piers offering seven world-class roller coasters, two huge beachfront waterparks and family rides galore.

The Wildwoods are centrally located between Atlantic City (50-minute drive) and Historic Cape May (10-minute drive). The Cape May County zoo, museums, tennis, golf, horseback riding and coach rides are all within easy distance. General tourist information can be gathered by calling 1-800-WW-BY-SEA.

The Wildwoods is known for the prevalence of Doo Wop architecture complete with the angular architecture, neon lighting and happy days' colors reminiscent of the 1950's.

The Wildwoods are second to none when it comes to watersports and fishing cruise fleets. There are a variety of crafts offering half-day and full-day fishing excursions in New Jersey's back bays and the Atlantic Ocean. Jet skiing, water skiing, boating and whale watching are bountiful in the inland waterways or along most docks in the Wildwoods.
